It is with great pleasure that we announce the release of our latest mobile application (app). As an extension of On Key, our Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS), the new app will play a key role in improving data velocity and the productivity of our clients’ maintenance staff.
“As Pragma’s first work management application built for artisans to use on their smart phones, this release is a major breakthrough for Pragma. Our main aim with this app is to support our clients on their journey to asset management optimisation, by creating a user-friendly, intuitive tool to streamline work order feedback and eliminate paper work,” says Arnold Botha, Managing Director: Product Development and Support.
The new app allows artisans or contractors to view their work orders, track the duration of their work, provide basic feedback and obtain an electronic sign-off for completed work, directly on their Android phones. The native mobile app retains its work management functionality whilst off-line and synchronises with On Key as soon as connectivity is restored. Live data gets fed back directly into On Key, from where it is processed to reflect in the maintenance history and work status. This data enables operational managers to make informed decisions utilising the work force and it also eliminates wasteful non-technical activities by maintenance staff ensuring increased productivity.
An application designed for the physical asset environment might seem like a niche product with limited potential, but when this app is used in conjunction with On Key, it becomes a powerful business tool. By making use of the On Key EAMS, businesses are empowered with timeous data for good asset-related decisions, both for short-term operational excellence, as well as longer term strategic positioning.
To ensure top quality, a controlled pilot project has been launched with a select group of contractors which will allow the Pragma team to refine and polish the app before its commercial release on Monday, 2 November 2015.
